[Read All Reviews] [Add Your Review] Just An Update from my last review, the ibrew lager is now spot on after leaving for 4 weeks in the bottles and not 2 weeks!!! it has cleared alot better and no longer cloudy! tastes great and quite impressed with it, i actually prefer it to a carling or fosters!!! Written By: Stephen Smith (29 June 2010) This was my first ever attempt at homebrewing, The instructions were good and simple, the brewing process was so easy and the dispenser bottles do actually fit in a normal size fridge, the dispenser bottle and tap work great. The actual ibrew beer is ok i would give 5 out of 10, i dont think i will brew it again tho, i am going to brew a coopers lager next and i have ordered 4 extra ibrew dispenser bottles so i can do the 40 pint kits. I did test my ibrew beer exactly when the instuctions said it would be ready, so personnaly after reading other reviews i would leave it 3-4 weeks in the bottles rather than just 2 weeks as the instructions say as the beer was still a bit cloudy after 2 weeks, i am going to leave my next bottle of ibrew for 3 weeks and see how it is then. so overall a brilliant system but the actuall ibrew beer i cannot say at this point as i dont think it was quite ready yet but it is drinkable. Written By: Stephen Smith (11 June 2010) I have my first ever home made batch of beer brewing now. This kit made it very easy, and I have had no problem in the fermenting process, other than syphoning, but as the instructions said - that part just takes practice. I am very much looking forward to using the C02 cartridges to make my beer fizzy when it has finished brewing on tuesday. I will be using this kit to make other lagers as well as more of the type that comes with it, if it is good (I will report on that once consumed). I have a tip as well: .If you don't destroy the box once the product is delivered, keep it and all of the curly bits of polystyrein (spelling?). Once your fermenting bucket is loaded wrap a towl around it and tape in to place. now place back into the box it was delivered in and put all of the polystyrien bits in the box, around the outside of the fermenting bucket. This helps it stay warm for the week or so it takes to ferment as air is caught between the bits and insulates the whole thing.
Hope this all helps. John - a new happy home brewer. Written By: John Franklin (02 March 2010)
