Mexico is known for its arid lands, dusty conditions and oppressive heat. So it is not surprising that the people of Mexico are expert at quenching a thirst. Coopers Mexican Cerveza (beer) emulates the style of the finest quality beers exported from Mexico. This premium beer is light in style with a fresh clean taste, ideally served ice-cold with a wedge of lime or lemon.

I need to point out I'm mainly a real ale drinker and all of my previous brews have been ale, however I am fan of the odd Corona so wanted to give this a chance.
Spent about 10 days in the FV before bottling with brewing sugar. It wasn't a bad brew at all, just wasn't quite up to the level I expected. The taste wasn't as clean as I wanted and some bottles even tasted yeasty without disturbing the sediment. The taste did mature as the beer conditioned but still wasn't as good as I wanted after 3 months.
I did only use brewing sugar for the primary which may explain the substandard result. Friends who drink a lot more lager than I do seemed impressed though so it can't have been too bad but I think I'll go back to the ale. To warn people, this kit does leave a lot of sediment in the bottom of the bottle compared to other kits I've tried so please bear that in mind when planning your brew. Written By: Steven Mitchell (15 July 2010) Im not a larger drinker really, so remember that. I think this beer was best after 2 months maturing when it had a candy sweet after taste, really pleasant and without any harshness at all. Maybe it was how I brewed it, but it was too sweet for my taste and not quite refreshing enough. They did slip down very well at a party though! Written By: Chris Parker (26 April 2010) very easy to make, im not a larger drinker just never made a larger before. was absolutly crystal clear and looks the part. didnt reall enjoy the taste though. have made many beers before but will stick to cider stout and bitter. to be fair though it gets 3.5 as its not my drink of choice Written By: Lee Barrett (29 March 2010) Im not 100% happy with this beer. I brewed it as per manufacturers instructions with BKE. It is quite dry with plenty of fizz (bottled with 1/2 tsp granulated sugar). It does have a "cidery" smell about it. I can taste a little citric, but maybe needs a little more. Undecided. Give it a go. Written By: John Ebbon (26 February 2010) This was my first attempt at brewing from home. Have to say the end result is far better than I had expected and easy to produce. Good head and fizz, more flavour than american beer and easy to drink. Would and going to buy again.
