Second brew I did not tell my mates i had brewed it!! Kept it all to myself!! Highly recommened. Written By: Terry Kerans (26 August 2010) This was my first attempt at home brewing but all went well, followed advice on this forum to extend both the fermentation and conditioning time and after 10 days ferment and 4 weeks in the barrell i had a superb ale, just as good as anything you can buy in the shops. Bad thing was my 40 pints were gone in under 2 weeks and i had nothing going.
So i got a 2nd barrel, a 2nd Wherry drank that then moved onto Muntons smuglers & a Nelsons revenge. Written By: David Ellis (23 August 2010) Fantastic brew kit. I've been brewing for almost 2 years now, and will be drinking my 4th Wherry kit very shortly :) Written By: Nick Armour (11 August 2010) Just tried my first bottle, and the taste is OK, but it's a bit fizzy and cloudy. I think I probably bottled it too soon. It was in the FV for 5 days, and the bottle for two weeks so far. Hope it will drop clear eventually, if I do it again I'll leave it in the FV for a few more days. Written By: James Hardacre (11 July 2010) As everyone else has said, a lovely ale, bitter but foral, ive been letting my allotment neighbour have a bottle a week, mainly to try and covert him to homebrew but, also so i can judge the difference week by week, for me it tastes best after 6 weeks, just be carefull not to over prime like i did! five stars Written By: Jonathan Heath (09 July 2010)
