Average customer rating is 4.77 out of 5 (26 reviews)
A golden, pale beer made with a blend of pale and lager malts, appealing to lager and bitter drinkers alike. Highly acclaimed as the benchmark for the new breed of straw-coloured 'global' beers.
The blend of pale and lager malts brings an initial light maltiness that complements the fruity bitterness of English hops. Inherent sweetness, with a long, malty finish.

Last year it was voted best at the summer BBQ, this year after 8 weeks in the bottle at this week's bank holiday picnic it was universally applauded. If you like a bright, bitter, quite hoppy beer (as it seems my chums & I do) this is very, very good. This year they had nothing to judge it against, but when you know you've got a good pint, you know you've got a good pint. Thoroughly recommended - easy to make - do leave it 6 weeks or more in the bottle though -and if you need a word of criticism: watch out for it being frothy! 1/2 tsp to prime the bottles (500ml) is probably too much, it has an everlasting and evergrowing head. Something to do with seaweed extract I guess. Written By: Simon Smith (29 August 2010) Fantastic brew kit. I've slowly been working through all Woodforde's kits over the last 2 years. I barrled this for this Summer and it's absolutely perfect on a warm sunny evening! This is the only brew kit I have had to gas, but I think the primary may have got a little too warm, and killed off most of the yeast. Will be doing again next year.
