This keg has the same high specifications as the "King Keg Bottom Tap" except that the dispense tap is placed near to the shoulder of the keg and has the latstock easy-serve float system attached to it. The advantage of a float take off system is that as the beer clears from the top downwards, it can be drawn off from just below the surface and therefore drunk much sooner than from the low tap dispense system of the standard King Keg.

[Read All Reviews] [Add Your Review] Got the King Keg with my starter kit, as a first timer I don't know a lot about barrels but what i can say is that I am using this barrel and find that it is very good. I followed the instructions to the letter and checked out the Forum and found out about using Vaseline to lubricant the o ring and lid thread. I put it together and cleaned it. Forgot to check for leaks and filled it with my first brew. Works very well, the tap is a bit difficult to use (forgot to check that as well before fitting) but once you get used to it! it's OK. I will be buying another King Keg soon.
Written By: Mark Staples (23 July 2010)  A great barrel, would recommend removing tap and puting a thin layer of vasoline on the moving parts to it less stiff but apart from that great.
Written By: Paul Siddle (09 July 2010) Read the sticky in the forum,read the instructions in the box & you can't go wrong. Great bit of kit. Much prefer the old style S30 valve to the new pin valve though,but thats just personal taste.Grab a bargain on 10% off day!
Written By: Jim Wilson (07 May 2010) bottom line is King kegs are brilliant. I've got three of these beauties now and I have NEVER had a problem. All I can say is READ THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION! People who have had trouble with leaks are not preparing or maintaining their barrels properly.
