I have to agree with the previous review. For me this wasn't great. Did exactly as per instructions using muntons beer enhancer and leaving it in the bucket for 7 days before transfering to bottles. Left in bottles for about 7 weeks before cracking one open, but something was not quite right, just couldn't put my finger on it. Two weeks later had another go hoping that time would be a great healer, as is the case with most home brew, but no still not right. Thin taste, home brew type twang and just a little disappointing. I have to point out that this is my 4 th Coopers kit of this year and this is not the best. To be honest the kit was a gift, and having deleloped more of a palate for IPA style beers I wouldn't have chosen this one anyway, but having done the Coopers Oz Lager with great success earlier in the year I was hopeful of a similar result, but no. Never mind.

I have to say this kit didn't quite reach the standards I expected after reading the reviews. I need to point out I'm mainly a real ale drinker and all of my previous brews have been ale, however I am fan of the odd Corona so wanted to give this a chance. Spent about 10 days in the FV before bottling with brewing sugar. It wasn't a bad brew at all, just wasn't quite up to the level I expected. The taste wasn't as clean as I wanted and some bottles even tasted yeasty without disturbing the sediment. The taste did mature as the beer conditioned but still wasn't as good as I wanted after 3 months. I did only use brewing sugar for the primary which may explain the substandard result. Friends who drink a lot more lager than I do seemed impressed though so it can't have been too bad but I think I'll go back to the ale. To warn people, this kit does leave a lot of sediment in the bottom of the bottle compared to other kits I've tried so please bear that in mind when planning your brew.

Im not a larger drinker really, so remember that. I think this beer was best after 2 months maturing when it had a candy sweet after taste, really pleasant and without any harshness at all. Maybe it was how I brewed it, but it was too sweet for my taste and not quite refreshing enough. They did slip down very well at a party though!

very easy to make, im not a larger drinker just never made a larger before. was absolutly crystal clear and looks the part. didnt reall enjoy the taste though. have made many beers before but will stick to cider stout and bitter. to be fair though it gets 3.5 as its not my drink of choice

Im not 100% happy with this beer. I brewed it as per manufacturers instructions with BKE. It is quite dry with plenty of fizz (bottled with 1/2 tsp granulated sugar). It does have a "cidery" smell about it. I can taste a little citric, but maybe needs a little more. Undecided. Give it a go.

This was my first attempt at brewing from home. Have to say the end result is far better than I had expected and easy to produce. Good head and fizz, more flavour than american beer and easy to drink. Would and going to buy again.
